A Cherished Quote to Share

I believe at least one of you out there reading this blog is considering a financial leap of faith, whether it is giving a large sum of money to a missionary family, downsizing your home to free up monies for God’s Kingdom, building an orphanage, or using your savings for something other than what you first set out to do with it (which I highly recommend).  It’s been on my heart to share with you (whoever you are!) this quote that God led me to during a cross-country minivan drive with Chris and the kids last July.  It changed our family’s direction forever.  May God use this quote to encourage you to advance from questioning His will into acting in obedience.

“When the Lord returns, what will happen to all the money sitting in bank accounts, retirement programs, estates, and foundations?  It will burn…it could’ve been exchanged for gold, silver, and precious stones.  Money that could’ve been used to feed the hungry and fulfill the great commission will go up in smoke.  Have you ever played one of those card games where the winner is the one who runs out of cards first?  At the end of the game, every card left counts against you.  The American dream is to die with as many cards in your hand as possible.  But maybe we’ve got it backwards.”

Love to you all,
