Ode to Indy

The moving truck will be here soon. Today I want to pay homage to the fantastic city of Indy and the lovely people we’ve been living in community with the past 23 months.

  • Driving on tree-lined Fall Creek Road in the Fall
  • Trips to nearby Chicago
  • Becoming acquainted with the amazing Formstack family
  • Afternoon chats with my neighbor while our kids play together
  • Cheering on the Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium
  • Stone Soup (a weekly gathering of friends)
  • Taking my kids to visit the church and art museum in which Chris and I were married and had our wedding reception in 2000
  • Attending my grandmother’s 90th birthday party
  • Publishing¬† “The Art of Online Ministry” to help hundreds of churches launch online ministries in various countries
  • Reuniting with friends from elementary, high school, and college
  • Being at the Indy airport when my cousin brought her daughter home from Ethiopia

I’m always sentimental while preparing to leave any place we’ve lived.¬† Many thanks to all of you here in Indiana who’ve poured into my life to prepare me for this exciting next season!!

I’m praying as you make this big move.

As a native Hoosier I know how hard it was the first time we moved away. Such an amazing city and great place to raise a family. Thanks for taking me back there today.

Enjoy this next extraordinary season of living all for Him.
    Bless you!
